| Idea #1 Scavanger
Easter Hunt
Instead
of a typical Easter egg hunt, make it a scavenger hunt. Hide
different household items throughout the house. Then make up
your
scavenger hunt and ask the kids to find these items.
The
first
one to complete their list wins. This activity is best for
older
kids who can read. If you want to do this with younger kids
you
can use some fun Easter clip art. Print off the pictures and
hide
them. Then make their scavenger list a list of pictures.
Easter
Activity Idea #2 Egg
Shell Mosaic Art
After
you color your Easter eggs, go ahead and peel some open and let the
kids eat some of the eggs. But don't throw away the colored
shells. Instead, use these colorful shells to create a
beautiful
work of art.
Just crunch the shells (you don't need really
small
pieces), then print off one of these fun Easter coloring pages and glue
the shells to the picture. Your kids will love showing off
their
mosaic art work.
Activity
Idea #3 Easter Treats
Let's get to the
kitchen and make some fun edible Easter treats. Make up some
rice
krispy treats and then use Easter shaped cookie cutters. Melt
down some white or dark chocolate and spread this on top.
Then
take some Easter candies and place it in the chocolate to decorate your
Easter eggs, bunnies or other Easter shaped rice krispy treats.

Our
favorite Easter treats are chocolate covered pretzel bird's nests.
This is a very messy project but they look absolutely
adorable
when you are done. You will need chocolate chips, small
twisted
pretzels, Easter candy, marshmallow peeps, 2 bowls and wax paper.
Just melt down the chips in a bowl in the microwave.
Then
add pretzels and cover completely (this is when it gets messy).
Place some wax paper in another bowl and stack your pretzels
on
the wax paper. The bowl will help hold the nest shape until
the
chocolate hardens. Once the chocolate is hardened, remove from the
bowl. Now add your Easter candies and marshmallow peeps.
These Easter treats look almost too good to eat.
