Do you know
how tall a Giraffe is?
The giraffe is the tallest mammal due to their long neck and legs.
Their legs alone can stand about 6 feet tall (1.8 m). The entire
giraffe with the legs and neck can grow as tall as 14 to 19 ft tall (4
to 6 m). I bet if they had hands they could really dunk a basketball
with their height.
Do

A giraffe can weigh about 1,750 pounds up to 2,800 pounds. That's 794
to 1,270 kg. These gentle giants are one tall and heavy animal.
Do you know
what giraffes eat?
Giraffes are herbivores, meaning they only eat vegitation like leaves,
grass and other plant vegitation. No meat for these guys. Giraffes use
their long legs, tall neck and long tongue to eat tasty morsels from
branches off of trees. Since few animals can get to the tasty treats,
giraffes have plenty to fuel their large bodies.
Do you know
how fast a giraffe can run?
You would think with their long legs and neck it would be difficult for
a giraffe to move around too quickly. But these guys can run up to 35
miles per hour (56 kilometers an hour). These top speeds are only short
spurts but they can cruise along at 10 miles per hour over longer
distances.
Do you know
how many giraffe's make up a herd?
The female giraffes and their babies usually make up a herd without the
males, but they enjoy company. A herd can be anywhere from a couple
dozen to as many as 40.
