Heart Shaped Animal - Moose

Although a moose is not generally thought of as a cute and cuddly animal, this verision will change your mind. With the heart shaped antlers and body, he just looks like he is ready to brighten up someones Valentine's day.

Red & White Craft foam
Brown & Black craft foam
Wiggle Eyes
Glue

How to Make Heart Shaped Animals - Moose

Step 1

Take a 8.5" by 5.5" sheet of red craft foam and fold the two short edges together. Cut out your heart making it as big as you can. This will be his body.

Step 2

Using another sheet of red craft foam cut out a medium sized heart for the head. Then cut out four small hearts for his paws. You many need another sheet to make all of them.

Step 3

Cut out 4 smaller hearts for the points of the moose's antlers.

Step 4

Using your white craft foam cut out 2 medium sized hearts for the antlers. Then cut out 4 small hearts for the top part of the paws (see picture above).

Step 5

Cut out one small heart using black or brown craft foam for his nose. You can also use a small heart shape for the mouth but we decided to give him a goofy smile with a small curved piece of black craft foam.

Step 6

Now assemble your moose starting with his body. Lay the big heart down on the table with the point facing down.

Step 7

Place the heart shaped head on top of the body and glue in place. Glue on the wiggle eyes, nose and mouth.

Step 8

Next glue on the four small white hearts on top of the red hearts for the paws. Glue these on the body as shown in the picture above.

Step 9

Lastly glue on the two small red hearts to the two medium white hearts for the antlers. Then glue these to the back of the moose's head.

This one is an easy and quick Valentine kids craft. The little ones may need some help with the cutting and placement for the gluing. You can hang this guy up for decoration or give it as a Valentine's gift to your favorite animal lover friend.
