How
to make Cardboard Roll Noise Maker Crafts
Cover
the cardboard roll with construction paper in the color of your choice.
Use stick glue or Elmer's glue to hold in place. Cut off the
excess construction paper.
Cut out a circle using craft foam slightly
larger than the end of the cardboard roll. Poke a hole
through the middle of the circle (large enough for a straw).
Thread
several pieces of yarn, string or ribbon through the top of the craft
foam circle. Tie off in a knot to hold in place.
Now
string several pony beads on each string to use as the noise makers.
The string should be long enough to bang up against the side of the
cardboard roll but not longer than the roll itself.
Using
hot glue, glue the foam circle to one end of the cardboard roll making
sure to insert the sting of beads on the inside of the roll before
gluing.
Slip
the straw through the hole in the craft foam circle leaving enough of
the straw poking out to glue on a wooden bead.
Thread
a medium wooden bead on the straw and hot glue the bead to the craft
foam circle.
Decorate
your noise maker for the New Year's celebration, birthday party or what
ever themed party you are using these noise maker crafts for.
To use your noise maker, simply
hold onto the straw and move the cardboard roll back and forth.
The pony beads on the inside will make some noise for your
celebration.
Tip: Straws are not very strong so will occassionally bend.
If you want to upgrade your noise maker, instead of using a
straw use a wooden dowel.

How
to make Pop Can Noise Maker Crafts
Fill
the empty pop can with items that will make noise when you shake the
can like pony beads, paper clips or candy sprinkles.
Tape the opening of the can closed.
Cover
the can with construction paper. Simply fold each end of the
paper over the both ends of the can and tape shut (like wrapping a
present).
Tip: You can decorate the paper after you cover the can or
before.
Optional:
Cut two craft foam circles slightly larger than the can.
Hot glue these to both ends of the can.
For the really little ones, they can simply roll this around to make
the noise. This is easier for smaller hands than holding it and shaking.
These
noise makers can produce different sounds based on what you put in the
can. Simply hold and shake the can to make some noise for your New
Year's or Birthday celebration.

You can decorate these mallets by painting them if you want.
