Paper Plate Snake

Using your pencil, draw a spiral on the front of your paper plate.  This is where you will cut to make your snake. Decorate the plate with paint or markers. Tip:  Paint the backside of the plate to match your color scheme or leave it white. Cut the plate along your decorated spiral. Round off one end of the spiral.  This is your snakes head.   Using the black marker, draw the snakes eye and mouth.   Using the red construction paper, cut out the snakes tongue and glue this on the backside by the mouth. Tip:  You can coil up your snake and set him on the table or use the next step below to hang him. Optional:  Punch a hole near the top of the snake and thread your string or yarn for hanging. Tip:  You can also punch the hole near the bottom of the snake and hang this cute little guy upside down.
