These
cute pipe cleaner Christmas tree crafts make great ornament crafts for
kids. With some pipe cleaners and beads, these X-mas trees will make a
perfect addition to your other Christmas tree ornaments.
There are 3 different pipe cleaner ornament crafts on this page - each
one a Christmas tree ornament. The first is the most difficult but is
still easy for kids using simple pipe cleaners and some beads.
The
other two are really easy and inexpensive and your kids can make dozens
of them in no time to hang on the tree.

Pipe Cleaner Christmas Tree #1
3D X-mas
Tree
These
look amazing hanging from any Christmas tree. You can even hang these
in the window to add that snowy look to your Christmas decorations.
 Supplies
2 to 3 Green Pipe Cleaners
1 Small Oval Shaped Wooden Bead
Scissors
Beads (optional)
How to
Make a Pipe Cleaner X-Mas Tree
| Step 1 |
Take
a one of the green pipe cleaners and cut in half. On the
bottom of the pipe cleaner, thread the wooden bead leaving a 1/4 inch
at the bottom.
Bend back the 1/4 inch to hold the bead (trunk) in place.

| Step 2 |
Now
using the rest of the green pipe cleaners, begin to make your tree
branches by cutting these into smaller pieces. Make some longer than
the others. |
| Step 3 |
Starting with
the longer pieces, wrap and twist these to the tree branch above the
trunk. Shape and form two tree branches. |
| Step 4 |
Repeat this all
the way to the top of the
tree, making each set of branches a bit smaller.

| Step 5 |
As a fun option,
have the kids thread some
beads on the different branches. These can be Christmas colors or any
color scheme they select. Be sure to bend the branches up a
bit to hold the beads in place.
Tip: To keep beads from falling into each other, simply bend
the pipe cleaner, thread the bead and then bend back again.
Repeat for the next bead.

If you don't have a wooden bead for the trunk, simply use a
piece of brown pipe cleaner and wrap it around the bottom to form the
trunk.

Simple
X-Mas Tree
This one is really easy and perfect for the little kids. There is
very little cutting and some twisting to finish this kids Christmas
craft idea.
 Supplies
3 Green Pipe Cleaners
1 Red Pipe Cleaner
Scissors
String
How
to Make Pipe Cleaner Christmas Wreaths
| Step 1 |
Cut the green
pipe cleaners in half.

| Step 2 |
Bring one end of
all the half pipe cleaners
together. Place a length of string in the middle of the pipe cleaners
forming a loop at the top. Twist to hold together. Leave a bit (about
1/4 inch) of the top untwisted.

| Step 3 |
Take the 1/4 of
the top and spread these out to look like a star. |
| Step 4 |
Take your red
pipe cleaner and bend around each of the six tree branches at the
bottom to form a tree skirt.

Now just use the loop in the string to hang on your X-mas tree.

Curvy
X-Mas Tree
 This
one takes just one pipe cleaner that your curve and shape into a fun
looking tree. Add a tree topper and some beads to decorate this cute
kids Christmas craft idea.
Supplies
1 Green Pipe Cleaner
Tree Topper (star shaped bead, bow, etc.)
Pony Beads
How
to Make a Curvy X-Mas Tree
| Step 1 |
Take the green
pipe cleaner and starting at the top, bend and curve all the way down
to the end making each curve a bit longer.
Tip: Leave a small length at the top to string a bead or glue on a bow
for the tree topper.

| Step 2 |
String on some
pony beads starting from the bottom and wind it to the top. Leave some
space in between each bead.

| Step 3 |
Attach the tree
topper. If you want, take some of the remaining pipe cleaner at the
bottom and bend down to make a trunk. |
These ones take very little time so you can make lots of these to
hang on your tree. Just hook an ornament hanger on the top of the tree
to hang for some cute Christmas decorations.
