Pots of Gold Craft #1
Chip and
Dip Holder
This is another cute kids craft idea for a St. Patrick's Day party.
You can hold a whole bag of chips and a container of dips in
your pot of gold.
Supplies
Empty
Ice Cream Container (the big plastic ones)
Empty Margarine Container (larger size)
Yellow Construction Paper
Cotton Balls
Double Stick Tape
Cardboard
Rainbow Colored Paper
Shamrock Template
How to Make a Leprechaun Hat

Clean your empty containers and let dry.
Cover the large ice cream container using yellow construction
paper and double stick tape. Decorate with shamrocks if you want.
Tip: You may need several sheets to cover competely.

Cover
the other container with cotton balls. This will be used to
hold the dip and will look like a cloud. Cover the lid as
well.

Using
a large piece of cardboard, cut out a rainbow shape.

Cover
the cardboard rainbow with colored paper to form the colors of the
rainbow.

Cut
out two circles of cardboard and cover with a shamrock cutout using
green paper. Glue these to the bottom of each end of the
rainbow.
This will help hold up your rainbow when it is set out at your party.

Now put chips in the pot of gold and dip in the cloud and it's all
ready for your guest to grab their piece of gold and dip into the
clouds.

Napkin
Holder
This is another great addition to your St. Patrick's Day party table.
Each person can have their own pot of gold at the end of the
rainbow and have their napkin handy for when they need it.
Supplies
Small
Dixie Cups
Colored Pipe Cleaners
Yellow Paint or Markers
Scissors
Green Napkins
Hot Glue
How to Make a Leprechaun Hat

Paint your dixie cup yellow or gold.
Decorate it with some shamrocks.
Tip: You can cut off the top a bit to make it look more like
a pot versus a cup.

Hot
glue colored pipe cleaners on the inside of the cup (3 to 5 different
colors of the rainbow).

Bend
the pipe cleaners into the shape of a rainbow. At the end
bend in and form a small open circle to hold the napkins.

Place
the napkin in the rainbow.

Fill your dixie cup with peanuts or candy to make it look like a pot of
gold. Your friends will be delighted with their own personal
napkin holder and the treat inside the pot of gold.
