Halloween Pumpkin Crafts Decoration

This pumpkin crafts idea makes for a great Halloween decoration. This streamer can be as long or short as you want. You can even mix it up and have ghosts, witches, spiders or even bats on your streamer. The steps below are for pumpkins but the directions work for what ever shapes you cut out to have for your Halloween party decorations.

Supplies

Orange paper
String or yarn
Black marker
Glue
Scissors

How to Make a Pumpkin Streamer Decoration

Step 1

For this pumpkin craft the first step is to cut out several pumpkins with the orange paper. Cut out two exact shapes for each pumpkin on the streamer. You can have some pumpkins larger or smaller just make sure you have a matching pair for each.

Tip: To cut out several pumpkins at once just fold the orange paper two or three times making sure your pumpkin template will fit in the folded area.

Step 2

Draw faces on the pumpkins. Make sure to put the pairs together and be sure to decorate the correct side for each so that when they are glued together each face is facing out. Don't glue them together just yet.

Step 3

Cut a piece of yarn or string large enough to hold all your pumpkins with spacing in between each one.

Step 4

Lay down the first row of pumpkins (one from each pair) and space them apart slightly. Place glue on the stem portion of each pumpkin.

Step 5

Lay the yarn across the pumpkins to where the yarn is touching the glue. Let this dry before attempting to glue on the next layer of pumpkins.

Step 6

Once the glue is dried apply glue to one of the pumpkins glued to the yarn. Place some glue on the yarn as well. Take the matching pumpkin and place this on top so that when the pieces are glued together the yarn is on the inside of the pumpkins.

Step 7

Repeat step 6 for each of the matching pairs of pumpkins until you have a complete streamer. Now just hang this across the doorway, around the table or from the ceiling.

You can make several of these streamers so that you have some fun pumpkins hanging all around for your Halloween party.
