Bouquet

Cut
out 12 heart shapes in the craft foam. You can use just one
color or mix and match the colors for your heart roses.
|
 |
Spell
out I Love Mommy using 10 of the heart roses. You can use
markers, paint or glitter glue.
Note: 2 Hearts will be blank. Use these to separte
the words when you arrange your bouquet.
|
 |
Let the paint or glitter glue dry.
Then poke a small hole at
the bottom of each heart and a small hole near the top of each straw.
|
 |
Attach the heart rose to the straw using a
paper fastener (brad).
We used cute little heart shaped brads to make this extra
nice.
|
 |
Decorate your terracotta pot and place the
floral foam inside.
|

Poke the straws through the floral foam and
arrange your roses to spell out "I Love Mommy" or whatever message you

Rose
Crafts for Kids #2
Tissue Paper Roses
This
kids craft idea has been passed down for many years. Tissue
paper
roses are easy to make and require very little craft supplies.
Supplies
Red, white and pink tissue paper
12 Green Pipe Cleaners
Ribbon
Scissors
Pencil (with eraser)
How to Make Tissue Paper Roses
 |
Take
a sheet of tissue paper and cut into 3 X 3 inch squares.
|
 |
Take
a square and place your
pencil eraser in the middle of the square. Twist the eraser to bunch up
the tissue paper into a rose shape.
Tip: You may have to help move the paper to get it to twist
all the way.
|
 |
Bunch the bottom of the tissue paper and
wrap a green pipe cleaner
to hold in place. Leave enough of the pipe cleaner to form
the
stem of the flower.
|
 |
Repeat these steps until you have a dozen
tissue paper roses.
|
 |
Gather up all the roses and tie the stems
together with some ribbon.
|
If you want you can place your tissue paper roses in a
decorated box and wrap them up with some more tissue paper.
This
makes for a beautiful gift that's from the heart.

Rose Crafts for Kids #3
Multi Colored Tissue Paper Rose
This kids
craft idea is similar to the one above but you will be using several
colors to create just one rose.
Supplies
Red, white and pink tissue paper
1 Green Pipe Cleaner
Ribbon
Scissors
How to Make Tissue Paper Roses
 |
Take
3 sheets of colored
tissue paper and cut into strips of 3" long and 1 1/2" wide.
You
will need 3 strips per color for each rose (total of 9 strips of tissue
paper).
Tip: If you want your heart to be even fuller, simply use
more strips of tissue paper.
|
 |
Wrap
a green pipe cleaner around the center of the strips. Using
scissors, round both edges of the strips to make for a more rounded
rose petal.
|
 |
Now separate the tissue papers to form a
rose.
|
 |
Twist the pipe cleaner around a bit more to
hold the shape of the completed rose.
|
Sometimes just a single rose can say I Love You louder than
a dozen roses. Use this kids craft idea to make that single
rose
extra special.
