Christmas Ornament Crafts

This wooden snowman ornament craft is all dressed up in his warm scarf and hat. With just a couple of wooden beads, some pipe cleaners to dress him up, a little bit of paint and some fun skates, this cute snowman will be ready to move along the ice on your Christmas tree.

Supplies

1/2 pipe cleaner (your choice of color)
1/4 pipe cleaner (your choice of color)
1 large round wooden bead
1 small round wooden bead
Paint or Markers
Ribbon

How to Make a Snowman Ornament Craft

Step 1

Take the 1/2 pipe cleaner and fold in half (but don't cut).

Step 2

From the folded end, thread the large wooden bead slightly lower than the middle of the pipe cleaner.

Step 3

Using the 1/4 piece of pipe cleaner, wrap this around the other pipe cleaner just above the large wooden bead. This becomes the snowman's scarf.

Step 4

Thread the small wooden bead leaving some pipe cleaner on top.

Step 5

Cut off a length of ribbon and fold to create a loop. On the end opposite the loop, twist the pipe cleaner around to hold it in place. Now bend back the remaining pipe cleaner to form the ear muffs on the snowman.

Step 6

Now fold back the two ends hanging out of the body of the snowman to hold the bead in place. We bent ours forward to make it look like ice skates, but however you want to bend to hold in place is fine.

Step 7

Using paint or markers, add some facial features and buttons down the snowman's body.

Just hand this snowman on your tree using the ribbon. This one makes a cute addition to any decorating scheme you have.
